Lewisham Council offers several microgrant programmes. These run annually for Tamil Heritage Month, Lunar New Year, LGBTQ+ History Month, International Women's Day, Windrush Day, Refugee Week, Borough of Sanctuary, East and Southeast Asian Heritage Month, and Black History Month.

Black History Month - grants up to £1000
This year's Black History Month theme, "Honouring Our Communities", celebrates the individuals whose everyday contributions shape, support and sustain Black life across the UK
Grants of up to £1,000 are available for projects taking place in Lewisham as part of Black History Month 2026. We welcome applications for events and activities celebrating Black history, culture, heritage and identity. Projects can respond to this year's theme, but this is not a requirement.
