NCIL Application Guidance: Who can apply?

Applications for NCIL funding are open to groups delivering activities in Lewisham, including:

  • Registered charities
  • CICs
  • Local businesses
  • Neighbourhood Forums
  • Resident Associations
  • Amenity, business and community groups made up of residents

Funding can only be given to established organisations or groups and not to individuals. If your organisation is less than 12 months old, you may only apply for up to £10,000.

If your organisation does not have a bank account, you will be required to either work with another organisation that can hold the funds for you or use an online service for this. There is more information on this in the Application Questions section below.

Collaborative or partnership applications are encouraged, though one organisation will need to agree to hold the funds for the partnership.

If your project takes place in more than one ward, you may either apply to the Ward fund that most benefits from the project. Or, if your project benefits at least 3 or more wards or the entire borough, you may apply to the Borough-wide  fund.
