Grant overview workshops - Online
The Community Development Team are providing a series of workshops to give potential applicants all the information you need to find out if Main Grants is right for your organisation - and how to apply.
These session will give an important overview of the whole grant process and is for anyone considering making an application.
The online workshops will cover the following topics:
- Understanding the changes to the Main Grants programme 2026-29
- Deciding which grant to apply for
- Support offered during the application period
- Key Dates
- Q&A session
We expect a high number of people in attendance so we recommend you read through the application guidance in advance to help you think about your questions.

Neighbourhood Focused Networking workshops - In person
Later in the application period, we will be offering a series of in person sessions, held in each neighbourhood to bring together organisations making or considering a neighbourhood application. these will be information sessions and give you a chance to make important links.
- North neighbourhood - Wednesday 3 September, The Albany, Douglas Way, London SE8 4AG, 2-4pm
- East neighbourhood - Thursday 4 September, Civic Suite Catford Rd, London SE6 9SE, 2-4pm
- South neighbourhood - Tuesday 9 September, Downham Library, 7-9 Moorside Rd, Bromley BR1 5EP, 11am-1pm
- West neighbourhood - Wednesday 10 September, Forest Hill Library, Dartmouth Rd, London SE23 3HZ, 11am-1pm

1-2-1 support sessions
Contact one of the 4 community development officers via email to arrange a 1-2-1 session about your application.
If you are applying for a neighbourhood grant, aim to contact the relevant officer for that area, if you are applying for a transition grant, aim to contact your current monitoring officer.
If your monitoring officer is not available please contact main.grants@lewisham.gov.uk to arrange your 1-2-1 session
